Jun Kurokawa

Born in Fukui City in 1955

1979 - Graduated from Tamagawa University

1979 - Began training under Katsumi Eguchi at Koyamaji Kiln in Saga Prefecture
Also trained as a research student at Saga Ceramic Research Center

1986 - Established 'Sengokugama' in Hakone-Sengokuhara

Since 1988 - Exhibitions held at Ginza Gallery Plus, Gallery Alpha, Imperial Hotel Miya Gallery, as well as solo exhibitions in Odawara, Numazu, Yaizu, Fukui, and Niigata. Also exhibited at Nihonbashi, Futako-Tamagawa, and Yokohama Takashimaya.

2001 - Visited 18 countries aboard Peace Boat, followed by journeys to Turkey, Egypt, Korea, Iran, and other places, enriching his artistic inspiration.


■ Awards & Recognitions: Selected for the Western Japan Craft Exhibition, West Japan Ceramic Exhibition, and Kanagawa Prefecture Ceramic Exhibition, among others.
